Wine Review. Bonjour Chardonnay!

Bonjour chardonnay!

Don’t let the name of this wine, or its reasonable price, fool you!

Château des Charmes Barrel Fermented Chardonnay VQA is fresh, fragrant and flavourful. The oak is well integrated and not at all over powering.

Established in 1976, Château des Charmes is a seven generation family of wine makers. Moving from France to Canada in 1964, I have watched Paul Bosc Sr. grow his family winery and wine selection over the years. Their majestic winery opened in 1994 and is a landmark of the area.

This medium bodied dry white from Niagara-on-the-Lake has soft aromas of apples and lychee. Smooth tropical flavours lead to a lively and lingering finish.

Very food friendly, you can serve with appetizers, baked salmon, roast chicken, pasta with cream sauce and mild curry dishes.
Cheers!
